Doctors look back: can a simple scan shorten hospital stays for bowel blockages?
NCT ID NCT06223620
Summary
This study looked back at the medical records of 504 adults treated for a bowel blockage. Researchers wanted to see if using a standard imaging test, called a water-soluble contrast study, as part of a treatment plan led to better and safer care. The goal was to find out if this approach helped patients recover faster and have fewer complications.
