First seen May 08, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study looks at whether taking tirzepatide, a medication that helps with weight loss, after sleeve gastrectomy surgery can help people lose more weight and improve conditions like type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, and sleep apnea. About 42 adults aged 18 to 65 with severe obesity will take part. The goal is to see if the combination is more effective and safe than surgery alone.
