Scientists watch memories replay in sleeping minds
NCT ID NCT05452733
Summary
This study aimed to understand what happens in our minds during sleep by observing memory replay in real time. Researchers worked with 40 sleepwalkers, using sound cues during sleep to trigger specific learned movements. By watching sleepwalkers' physical responses to these cues, scientists hoped to directly observe how memories are processed during sleep for the first time.
