Summary

This study tested a new single-dose oral drug called acoziborole in 208 adults with sleeping sickness, a deadly parasitic disease. Participants took three tablets once and were monitored for 18 months. The goal was to see if the drug could cure the infection at both early and late stages. Results showed high success rates, offering hope for a simpler, safer treatment.
