First seen Jan 28, 2026 · Last updated Jun 09, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study looked at how not getting enough sleep affects the body's ability to use protein for muscle repair. Twenty healthy adults had their sleep limited for a few days, then followed a recovery period with either evenly spaced or unevenly spaced protein meals. The goal was to see which pattern helps the body rebuild muscle best after sleep loss.
