Can 'Sleep Banking' before surgery stop chronic pain?
NCT ID NCT07383584
Summary
This study is testing whether getting extra sleep in the week before knee or hip replacement surgery can help reduce chronic pain after the operation. Researchers will compare patients who try to extend their nightly sleep before surgery with those who stick to their normal sleep patterns. The goal is to see if this simple, non-drug approach makes recovery less painful and improves physical function.
