Zap your snoring away? new device aims to train throat muscles for better sleep

NCT ID NCT04607343

Summary

This study is testing a new home-use device for people with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). The device uses gentle electrical stimulation on the neck to strengthen the muscles that keep the throat open during sleep. Researchers want to see if using the device twice daily for eight weeks can reduce breathing pauses and improve sleep quality and daytime alertness.
