New hope for better sleep after fertility procedures
NCT ID NCT06284668
Summary
This study aimed to see if two different drugs given during anesthesia could help prevent sleep problems and reduce anxiety after a common fertility procedure called oocyte retrieval (egg retrieval). Researchers compared esketamine, a drug also used for depression, with remimazolam, a newer sedative, in 315 patients. They measured sleep quality and anxiety levels for several days after surgery to determine which medication was more helpful.
