Brain surgeons test if common sealants are actually needed
NCT ID NCT07216157
Summary
This study aims to find out if using special surgical glues (sealants) is better than using no glue at all for preventing dangerous spinal fluid leaks after certain brain surgeries performed through the nose. Researchers will randomly assign 225 adult patients having this type of surgery to receive one of two sealants or no sealant. The main goal is to see which approach best prevents leaks and promotes healing, which could make surgery safer and more cost-effective.
