NCT ID NCT05820386

First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated Jun 14, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study looks at whether holding a very premature baby (born before 34 weeks) skin-to-skin during the move from the delivery room to the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) can keep them just as warm as transferring them in an incubator. About 118 babies will take part. The goal is to see if this gentle, parent-involved method is safe and effective for temperature control.
