Can a simple cuddle boost Baby's first feed?

NCT ID NCT06514352

Summary

This study aims to see if following specific clinical guidelines for skin-to-skin contact between mother and newborn affects the baby's stress levels and how well breastfeeding starts. It will involve 192 first-time mothers and their healthy, full-term babies. Researchers will compare different timings for starting skin-to-skin contact after birth against standard hospital care to measure outcomes like breastfeeding success and newborn stress.
