Summary

This study aims to understand the short and long-term effects of skin-to-skin contact between mothers and their healthy, full-term newborns. Researchers will follow 130 mother-infant pairs to see how this contact influences breastfeeding rates, the baby's development and temperament, and the mother's mental health and bonding. The goal is to gather evidence to support family-centered care practices in hospitals.
