NCT ID NCT06514352

First seen Mar 05, 2026 · Last updated Apr 24, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study looks at whether following a specific skin-to-skin contact routine right after birth can lower stress in newborns and help first-time mothers breastfeed more successfully. About 192 mothers who give birth vaginally at full term will be split into two groups: one will follow a detailed skin-to-skin guideline, and the other will receive standard care. Researchers will measure baby stress levels and breastfeeding success using special scales.
