Breakthrough skin treatments battle stubborn leg wounds

NCT ID NCT06831760

Summary

This study tested two advanced wound treatments for chronic leg ulcers caused by poor circulation. Researchers compared a collagen-based skin substitute against a membrane made from human placental tissue to see which helps ulcers heal better. The trial involved 60 adults with leg ulcers that hadn't healed with standard care over several weeks.
