New skin patch could help doctors Fine-Tune sickle cell crisis care

Summary
This study is testing a small, handheld skin sensor to measure how hydrated a person with sickle cell disease is. The goal is to see if this device can help doctors give the right amount of IV fluids during painful crises, avoiding the risks of giving too much or too little. Researchers will test the sensor on 30 participants, both when they are healthy and when they are having a crisis.
