First seen Feb 22, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study looked at 75 adults who had skin grafts after reconstructive surgery on their arm or leg. The goal was to see if keeping the cast and pressure bandage on for 10-14 days instead of the usual 5-7 days helps the graft heal better. Researchers also checked if longer casting affected patients' quality of life and self-esteem.
