New gel aims to shield skin from radiation burns

NCT ID NCT07192588

Summary

This study is testing a new skin gel, GR1014, to see if it can prevent or reduce the painful skin rash that often occurs during radiation therapy after breast cancer surgery. About 273 women who have had surgery and need radiation will apply one of two strengths of the gel or a placebo gel before each treatment. Researchers will check if the gel is safe and if it helps keep the skin healthier during radiation.
