Tape test & skin scan: a gentler way to spot skin cancer?

NCT ID NCT06813833

Summary

This study explored whether two non-invasive tools—a special skin scan and a simple tape strip—could work together to better detect basal cell carcinoma, a common type of skin cancer. Researchers tested these methods on 50 adults with a suspicious skin spot to see if the information from the scan and the tape matched up. The goal was to gather knowledge that might one day help doctors diagnose this cancer without needing a surgical biopsy first.
