Can a photo tell how deep a skin cancer goes?

NCT ID NCT07384949

Summary

This study looks back at medical records and photos of skin cancers from 238 patients. Researchers are checking if specific patterns seen in magnified skin photos (dermoscopy) can tell doctors how deep the cancer has grown before it is removed. The goal is to improve future diagnosis by linking what is seen on the skin's surface to what is found underneath.
