First seen May 11, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study tested whether a cosmetic cream containing spruce extract can repair the skin barrier and ease symptoms like dryness, redness, and itching. 66 healthy adults with sensitive, atopy-prone skin used the cream or a placebo for 21 days. Researchers measured skin moisture, water loss, and inflammation markers to see if the cream worked better than the placebo.
