New hope for lung cancer patients: experimental drug SKB264 takes on chemo after targeted therapy fails

This study tests a new drug called SKB264 against standard chemotherapy in about 376 people with advanced non-squamous non-small cell lung cancer that has a specific EGFR mutation and has stopped responding to targeted therapy (EGFR-TKI). The goal is to see if SKB264 alone can help people live longer without their cancer growing compared to the standard chemo combination. Participants are randomly assigned to receive either SKB264 or chemo, and the study tracks how long the cancer stays under control and overall survival.
