New study looks inside cells to help women with low egg count during IVF
NCT ID NCT06617988
First seen May 03, 2026 · Last updated May 03, 2026
Summary
This study looked at 80 women undergoing IVF to understand why some have a poor response to fertility treatment. Researchers measured a protein called SIRT3 in egg-supporting cells and checked fluid from the ovaries for chemical clues. The goal was to find differences between patient groups and see if these markers relate to pregnancy success. No treatments were tested—only observations were made.
