Summary
This study tested whether the drug sirolimus is safe and effective for treating complicated vascular anomalies in children and young adults up to age 31. These are serious, often painful growths or malformations of blood or lymph vessels that can cause disfigurement and organ problems. Researchers gave sirolimus to 61 participants and measured its effects on shrinking the growths, improving daily function, and enhancing quality of life.
