New brain stent aims to silence annoying 'Whooshing' ear noise
NCT ID NCT06726928
Summary
This study is testing a new medical device called the SiREX Stent to treat a specific type of tinnitus, a constant 'whooshing' sound in the ear caused by a narrowed vein in the brain. The stent is placed in the vein to open it up, with the goal of making the tinnitus disappear. The study will enroll 78 adults who have had this disabling condition for over three months.
