New brain stent aims to silence debilitating 'Whooshing' ear noise
NCT ID NCT06726928
Summary
This study is testing a new medical device called the SiREX Stent to treat a specific type of disabling tinnitus, a constant 'whooshing' sound in the ear caused by a narrowed vein in the brain. The study will enroll 78 adults who have had this condition for over three months and want treatment. Researchers aim to see if this specially designed stent can safely open the narrowed vein and make the tinnitus disappear.
