New gel could be key to better recovery after sinus surgery

NCT ID NCT07383402

Summary

This study is testing if a special gel placed in the sinuses during surgery helps patients heal better. The gel contains two medicines: one to fight germs and one to reduce swelling. Researchers will compare the gel to a placebo in 180 adults with chronic sinusitis to see if it improves sinus appearance and healing three months after surgery.
