Tiny stents deliver medicine to troubled sinuses
NCT ID NCT05925985
Summary
This study tested small, dissolvable stents placed in the sinuses after surgery for chronic sinusitis. The stents slowly release a steroid medication to reduce inflammation and improve healing. Researchers followed 215 patients for up to 12 months to see if the stents safely helped reduce sinus symptoms and improved recovery after surgery.
