Patient's own blood tested to boost jawbone for dental implants
NCT ID NCT07348198
Summary
This study tested if adding a patient's own healing factor (Platelet-Rich Fibrin or PRF) to a standard bone graft improves bone growth for sinus lift surgery. Patients who needed this surgery on both sides of their upper jaw received the standard graft on one side and the graft with PRF on the other. Six months later, tiny bone samples were taken to measure how much new bone had formed with each method.
