First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study involved 60 people with severe upper jawbone loss (less than 4 mm of bone height) who needed dental implants. Surgeons performed a sinus lift procedure using a mix of synthetic bone materials and the patient's own blood concentrate. After six months, small bone samples were taken to measure how much new bone had grown. The goal was to see if this graft combination supports successful implant placement.
