It will enroll 37 adults with certain types of head and neck cancer.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
sintilimab (an immunotherapy drug) combined with radiotherapy
What this could lead to
If successful, this could offer a new treatment approach to help prevent head and neck cancer from returning after surgery.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-phase trial with only 37 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. Immunotherapy can cause side effects like inflammation in healthy organs.
