One shot to stop cancer? new HPV vaccine trial could simplify prevention
NCT ID NCT07256912
Summary
This study aims to see if a single dose of the CERVAVAC HPV vaccine works as well as a single dose of the established Gardasil vaccine in preventing cervical cancer. Researchers will compare the immune responses in 1,266 Zambian girls and boys aged 9-20 over two years. The goal is to find simpler, more accessible vaccination strategies to protect against cancer-causing viruses.
