Singing your way to better hearing? study tests Music's power for seniors

NCT ID NCT06580847

Summary

This study is testing whether joining a group singing class can help older adults with untreated hearing loss hear conversations better in noisy environments and improve their social well-being. Researchers will compare 12 weeks of singing classes to joining an audiobook club in 210 participants across several countries. The goal is to see if the social and musical activity of singing provides specific benefits beyond just socializing.
