First seen May 19, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study planned to test a smaller, new-generation telescope implant for people with severe central vision loss from advanced age-related macular degeneration (AMD). The goal was to check safety, especially how the implant affects cells on the back of the cornea. However, the study was withdrawn before enrolling any participants, so no results are available.
