New registry aims to uncover how well vein stents work over time

This study is a registry that collects information from patients who have had or will have a vein stent placed to treat blocked veins in the legs or chest. Researchers will look at how well the stents keep the vein open, if repeat procedures are needed, and any complications. The goal is to learn more about the long-term safety and effectiveness of using stents in veins, since they are not yet FDA-approved for this use. Participation does not change your medical care.
