Simulation showdown: can fake patients beat Role-Play for nurse training?

NCT ID NCT07415057

First seen Feb 25, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study tests whether using clinical simulations (like practicing with mannequins or actors) helps first-year nursing students communicate better than traditional role-play and group discussions. Fifty students will be randomly assigned to either simulation or standard teaching. Researchers will measure communication skills and confidence before and after the course to see which method works best.
