First seen Dec 26, 2025 · Last updated May 10, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study will test whether a structured simulation training program helps surgical residents improve their laparoscopic and thoracoscopic skills. Nineteen residents will practice on box trainers and animal tissue models, then be evaluated before and after training. The goal is to see if this approach boosts technical performance and confidence, potentially making the transition to real surgeries safer. No patients or live animals are involved.
