Simulation training boosts nursing Students' lifesaving skills retention
NCT ID NCT07366125
First seen Jan 27, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study involved 50 nursing students to see if practicing with realistic scenarios helps them remember basic life support skills better than standard training. Students were split into two groups: one practiced on a manikin with feedback, the other used scenario-based simulations. While both groups learned equally well at first, the simulation group kept their skills longer, showing less decline after one month. The study suggests adding simulation to nursing education for better long-term skill retention.
