First seen Feb 19, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study looked at whether using simulation (practice on mannequins) helps pediatric residents learn neonatal echocardiography (heart ultrasound for newborns) better than standard training. 52 residents from three French hospitals took part. Some received simulation training plus usual theory and bedside practice, while others had only theory and bedside training. The goal was to see if simulation leads to better ultrasound skills after 3 and 6 months.
