Nursing students train with actors to prevent IV injuries
NCT ID NCT07514247
First seen Apr 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study looks at whether hands-on simulation training, using actors and real hospital settings, helps nursing students recognize when an IV is leaking into the skin (infiltration) and make better decisions. About 90 first-year nursing students will be split into groups: one gets simulation training, the other gets traditional lessons. Researchers will measure their knowledge, decision-making skills, and confidence after training.
