Can a High-Tech doll teach doctors to scan baby hearts?

NCT ID NCT06442683

Summary

This study tested whether using a realistic baby simulator to practice heart ultrasounds (echocardiograms) helps pediatric residents learn this skill better than standard training alone. Fifty-two residents were split into two groups: one received extra simulation training, and the other received only the usual online and bedside training. Researchers measured the residents' scanning skills at 3 and 6 months to see which training method was more effective.
