Summary

This study followed 145 patients for five years after receiving an artificial neck disc (Simplify Disc) to treat painful degenerative disc disease. It compared the long-term safety and effectiveness of the disc implant to traditional spinal fusion surgery. Researchers measured pain relief, neck function, device durability, and patient satisfaction over the extended period.
