Silver shield tested to protect skin during cancer radiation
NCT ID NCT06831084
Summary
This study is testing whether a special silver-plated dressing can reduce painful skin burns (radiation dermatitis) that often occur during breast cancer radiation therapy. Seventeen patients receiving standard radiation will wear the dressing weekly during treatment and for two weeks after. Researchers will measure how many patients develop moderate-to-severe skin reactions and how satisfied patients are with the dressing compared to usual skin creams.
