First seen May 06, 2026 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study looked at how long a special fluoride solution (silver diamine fluoride) should be applied to stop cavities in young children's baby teeth. Over 600 healthy kids aged 3-5 with at least one cavity took part. Researchers compared different application times to find the most effective way to harden the decay and prevent it from getting worse.
