New male birth control pill enters human testing

Summary
This early-stage study tests whether a drug called silodosin can work as a temporary, nonhormonal birth control pill for men. Two hundred healthy, sexually active men will take either the drug or a placebo for up to 12 weeks. Researchers will measure sperm counts, semen volume, and pregnancy rates in their partners to see if the pill is effective.
