First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tracks the safety and performance of Silimed brand breast tissue expanders in 152 women who need breast reconstruction. Doctors will record any side effects and rate their satisfaction with the expansion results and tissue quality. The goal is to see how well the device works in real-world use.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Silimed brand breast tissue expander (device)
What this could lead to
If successful, this study could confirm that the Silimed breast expander is safe and works well for breast reconstruction after mastectomy.
What could go wrong
This is an observational post-market study, not a controlled trial. Results depend on patient reports and doctor satisfaction, which may not reflect real-world outcomes. Risks include infection, pain, or device failure.
