Brain stent offers hope for debilitating pressure disorder
NCT ID NCT07561268
First seen May 08, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026
Summary
This study tests a new stent designed to open narrowed veins in the brain for people with idiopathic intracranial hypertension (IIH), a condition where high pressure inside the skull causes severe headaches, vision problems, and ringing in the ears. About 99 adults with confirmed IIH and blocked brain veins will receive the stent. The goal is to see if the stent reduces symptoms and pressure, while monitoring for serious side effects like stroke or stent movement.
