Summary

This study aims to learn more about the long-term health of people who carry the sickle cell trait. Researchers will follow 1,000 adults over time to see if having the trait affects kidney function, blood clotting, or causes other symptoms. The goal is to gather better information to help doctors care for people with sickle cell trait in the future.
