New dosing test for Kids' sickle cell treatment

Summary
This study is testing if giving a medicine called hydroxyurea twice a day is safe and effective for children with sickle cell disease. About 50 children, aged 9 months to 11 years, will take the medicine this way for one year. Researchers will check how the body processes the drug and see if it helps reduce complications from the disease.
