Summary

This study is testing if the drug voxelotor can improve physical function in adults with sickle cell disease. Six participants will take the drug for six months, and researchers will measure how far they can walk in six minutes before and after treatment. The goal is to see if the drug helps patients feel stronger and more capable in their daily lives.
