Summary
This small pilot study aims to test new brain imaging methods to monitor sickle cell disease. Researchers want to see if advanced scans can measure how well oxygen reaches the brain and how treatments affect this process. The study involves children with sickle cell disease, including some who have received gene therapy or regular blood transfusions, and compares them to healthy children.
